Abstract

Shot put is one of the athletic sports that demands physical strength, technique, and good coordination. This sport is performed by pushing an iron ball of a certain weight as far as possible from the throwing circle. This article discusses various important aspects of shot put, ranging from basic techniques, applicable rules, to the physical and mental benefits that can be obtained from this training. Understanding basic techniques, such as the starting position, pushing technique, and landing technique, is very important for athletes to improve performance and avoid injuries. In addition, this article examines the benefits of shot put, including muscle strength improvement, balance, and positive character development. With a comprehensive approach, this article is expected to provide useful information for coaches, beginner athletes, and sports enthusiasts in developing interest in shot put.
