Plagiarism Screening

Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are not permitted. CIVICA Journal uses a plagiarism checker to screen articles for plagiarism. It detects overlapping and similar text, so appropriate citations and quotations must be used whenever necessary. To check for plagiarism, the CIVICA Journal editors will screen for plagiarism using Turnitin. If any indication of plagiarism (above 25%) is found, the editorial board will immediately reject the manuscript. If the percentage is around 20% or less than 25%, the editor will ask the author to revise (the initial revision stage) to reduce the percentage to a maximum of 5%.

Prior to publication, written confirmation from the author is required to ensure originality. Authors must sign a Declaration of Originality provided by the Editor, and the form will be posted on the website as proof that the author is responsible for their work.
