STUDENTS’ RESPONSES TOWARD SCHOOLOGY IN EXTENSIVE READING

Abstract

Abstract: In this era, a teacher must utilize the existing technology as learning media. The use of technologies can effectively increase the active learning methods to each aspect in educational process in the study of a foreign language. Technology has come closer to human’s hands in their daily life, especially students. Therefore, learning in the form of technology media may attract students more in learning rather than learning in printed books. This study was conducted at public Senior High School in Karawang that involved five participants who agreed to be interviewed. This study applied a basic interpretative study as research design. The data research was obtained through observation, and interview with the students. This study has a positive response by students. The findings of this research are (1) schoology is effect media in extensive reading, (2) schoology provides self-regulated learning in extensive reading, (3) extensive reading help students’ for vocabulary mastery. It can be concluded that schoology has a positive role as an English learning media to the students.
