Copyright Notice
Authors who publish articles in JoCE agree to the following terms:
Authors retain the copyright of their article and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
This license allows others to share and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes, provided that proper credit is given to the authors and the original source, and that any derivative works are distributed under the same license as the original.
Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (for example, posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
Authors are encouraged to post their work online (for example, in institutional repositories or on their personal websites) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
