ANALISIS FRAMING PEMBERITAAN ANALOG SWITCH OFF (ASO) PADA MEDIA ONLINE SINDONEWS.COM DAN CNBCINDONESIA.COM

Abstract

Switching TV broadcasts from an analog to a digital system or Analog Switch Off (ASO) reaps pros and cons. This situation influences the media's point of view in reporting ASO to the public. This research focuses on how the media constructs ASO policies in two popular online media sindonews.com and cnbcindonesia.com using Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis model. The results of the study show that sindonews.com and cnbcindonesia.com have different points of view in reporting on Analog Switch Off (ASO). Sindonews.com directs reporting on the adverse impacts of the ASO policy felt by the community, while cnbcindonesia.com directs reporting on the reasons for implementing the ASO program that benefits the community. Sindonews.com's news source comes from a grandmother who is said to confide in TikTok, the owner of the TikTok account @user1666137478099 and @YayatPretty, and Hary Tanoesoedibjo as the Executive Chairman of the MNC Group, while the news source cnbcindonesia.com comes from the Special Staff of the Minister of Communication and Information Rosarita Niken Widiastuti. News texts from both media fulfill the 5W+1H elements. Rhetorically, sindonews.com uses the word "apprehensive" and writes the word "very forced" in capital letters as an affirmation, while cnbcindonesia.com uses the word "effect". The results of this analysis can be used as an alternative news learning teaching material.
