Design Research on Realistic Mathematics Education Using Sedekah Rame to Develop Students’ Number Sense

Abstrak

Dominasi pembelajaran prosedural dalam matematika menunjukkan perlunya desain pembelajaran kontekstual dan bermakna untuk mengembangkan pemahaman angka siswa. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain pembelajaran PMRI menggunakan konteks budaya lokal Sedekah Rame untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan pemahaman angka pada siswa SMP. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian desain validasi yang diimplementasikan melalui tiga tahap: desain pendahuluan, eksperimen pengajaran, dan analisis retrospektif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 8 SMP Negeri 3 Lubuklinggau. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Desain pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berfokus pada empat indikator pemahaman angka: estimasi, perhitungan mental, penilaian besaran numerik, dan penilaian rasionalitas hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konteks Sedekah Rame mampu menyajikan situasi matematika yang bermakna dan mendorong munculnya strategi numerik yang lebih fleksibel. Namun, hasil eksperimen pengajaran juga menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan pemahaman angka membutuhkan kerangka konseptual yang kuat dan proses pembelajaran yang berkelanjutan. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis berupa pengembangan teori pembelajaran lokal berdasarkan PMRI, serta kontribusi praktis bagi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran matematika kontekstual dan bermakna
