Abstrak

Pembelajaran matematika di SMP masih menghadapi kendala dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan berpikir kritis matematis siswa, khususnya pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel (SPLDV) yang cenderung diajarkan secara prosedural. Akibatnya, siswa lebih banyak menghafal langkah penyelesaian tanpa memahami makna kontekstual. Padahal, pemecahan masalah merupakan tujuan utama pembelajaran matematika, dan berpikir kritis diperlukan agar siswa mampu menghasilkan solusi yang beragam, fleksibel, dan orisinal. Penelitian ini menekankan urgensi penerapan konteks kebudayaan lokal (ethnomathematics) agar pembelajaran SPLDV menjadi lebih bermakna dan relevan dengan kehidupan siswa. Tujuan penelitian meliputi analisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, deskripsi profil berpikir kritis matematis, serta perumusan rekomendasi pembelajaran SPLDV berbasis budaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan dukungan data kuantitatif pada siswa kelas VIII SMP. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes SPLDV berbasis budaya, wawancara, dan observasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan kerangka Polya dan Torrance. Luaran penelitian berupa instrumen valid, profil kemampuan siswa, rekomendasi pembelajaran, dan artikel ilmiah.
