Reference Management

Reference Management

KOLASE: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Budaya encourages authors to use reference management software to help organize references, in-text citations, and bibliographies consistently.

Authors may use reference management applications such as Zotero, Mendeley, or similar software that support automated reference management.

Reference Requirements

Authors must ensure that every source cited in the manuscript is included in the reference list. Conversely, every source listed in the reference list must be cited and used in the manuscript.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the bibliographic information of each source, including the author's name, publication year, title, journal or publisher name, volume, issue, page numbers, and DOI or source link, when available.

KOLASE encourages authors to use relevant and reliable scholarly sources, particularly scientific journal articles and academic sources that are appropriate to the topic of the research.

Citation Style

KOLASE uses APA Style, 7th Edition (APA 7th Edition) as the guideline for in-text citations and reference lists.

The use of reference management software is highly recommended to minimize errors in citations and reference lists and to maintain consistency in reference formatting.

DOI Usage

Authors are encouraged to include the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for sources that have an available DOI. DOIs should be provided as active links in accordance with APA 7th Edition.

Example:

https://doi.org/10.xxxx/xxxxx

Reference Verification

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must carefully review all citations and references to ensure that:

  • all sources cited in the manuscript are included in the reference list;

  • there are no sources in the reference list that are not cited in the manuscript;

  • the bibliographic information for each source is accurate;

  • the citation and reference list formats are consistent with APA 7th Edition;

  • DOIs are included when available;

  • the sources used are relevant to the discussion of the article.

The use of reference management software does not replace the author's responsibility to verify the accuracy and relevance of each source. Authors remain fully responsible for all references used in their manuscripts.
